The weekend of 20 and 21 August 2011 will see the launch of South East Queensland’s newest triathlon event – the Goldcross Cycles Wivenhoe Dam Triathlon. The weekend provides ‘something for everyone’ with events for all the family.
The weekend comprises of:

Fun Run – 3k or 6k
Open water Dam swim – 750m and 1500m
Active Kids Triathlon
Active First Timers Triathlon
Sunday 21 August 2011
Short Course Triathlon – 750/20/5
Olympic Distance Triathlon – 1500/40/10
Teams Triathlon
We have hired the entire area at Wivenhoe Dam and as an event first we are offering people the chance to book campsites to stay for the weekend. Campsites are available for one or two nights. There are only a limited amount of campsites available. Powered sites are strictly limited and cost $60 p/night or $90 for 2 nights. Camp sites are available for $40 p/night or $70 for 2 nights.
The events take place in the Logan Inlet area. The Lumleys Hill campsite is the main event precinct where you will find registration, transition, food outlets and retail outlets. Medical personnel will be in attendance at all events to ensure participant safety. |
